The effect of an educational intervention based on the Health Belief Model on the refer of rural women to Shaft selected Health Center for Pap Smear test

The aim of this study was the effect of health education based on the HBM for knowledge and practice of qualified rural women about performing of voluntarily pap smear test to prevention of cervical cancer and reduce of mortality. A randomized control trial design was used for this study. Samples were rural women under the coverage of one of the random rural health center in Shaft in Winter, 2014 that all health house under the coverage of center were be examined. First of all the health houses were wrote respectively from the list then every other one were allocated randomly in to two groups control and comparison. Qualified women were randomly selected from the list of rural families. Information collection tool was a questionnaire that was assessed validity and reliability of it. Inclusion criteria: willingness to participate in program and the women aged 20-65 years old at least once married (married - widow and divorced) and at least 6 months was passed from their marriage and less than 6 months before the study was not performed pap smear test, had not hysterectomy and history of cervical cancer. Exclusion criterion was not participating in any of the training sessions. After obtaining letter of satisfaction, questionnaire was completed from interview by questionnaire. Referring to the other essays, sample size for each group was 80 then intervention perform under the influence of structures by training session. Data collected in two stages, first stage was before intervention and second stage was two months after intervention for each group.
