Objective: Kinesio taping electrodiagnostic parameters to determine the effect on the median nerve and functional performance in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome.
Study design: randomized, interventional
Inclusion criteria: age range 50-30 years, patients with electro-diagnostic parameters, phalan or Phalen's test is positive, the patient has one of the symptoms of pain, numbness in the fingers three and a half foreign, lack of equipment in the last 3 months, minimum and maximum visual analog scale pain scores were 3 and 8.
Exclusion criteria: patients with a history of trauma or surgery on the wrist, skin allergies, pregnancy causes carpal tunnel syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome for alcoholism, carpal tunnel syndrome due to systemic abnormalities.
Study population and sample size: Patients with carpal tunnel syndrome who were referred to physiotherapy clinics of Semnan University of Medical Sciences in 2016, the sample size of 30 patients in the two case and control group.
The study interventions: first, the electrodiagnostic nerve conduction measurements. Boston(BQ) then completed questionnaires and functional performance will be assessed the maximum power pinching and griping. Taping for 2 weeks for patients done. Of all patients in the two groups wanted to be that referred to renew taping every 2 days for them to be done. There is no intervention in the control group. All the patients after 24 and 48 hours and also re-examined two weeks after taping.
