The effect of Pre-hospital Trauma Management training of Ambulance Caregivers and impact on the Time indices and Clinical Decision Making of Traumatic Patients-
Determine the Impact of Traumatic Patient Management Program on Time Indicators
Determine the Impact of Traumatic Patient Program on Clinical Decision Making
Design
The Samples are divided into two levels of Undergraduate and Bachelor education by stratified random sampling method and will be simple random sampling into two groups of intervention and control in each level in proportion to the number.
Sample size According to the same study data for the clinical decision-making variable of medical emergency students, about 23 samples for each group were calculated. Considering the probability of the attrition of 25% of the samples, 29 were considered. In order to increase the strength of each group, 32 patients were considered.
Settings and conduct
In this research, the popuiation will be technicians working in medical emergency centers affiliated to Gonabad University of Medical Sciences who have entry criteria. There will be no intervention for the control group. After and one month after the intervention, both post-test groups will be taken.
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
Inclusion Criteria: Do not have a trainee experience at the Trauma Management Workshop
Exclusion Criteria: Emergency care report forms transmitted to the Medical center by more than one patient by an ambulance
Intervention groups
Intervention group: The intervention for the intervention group will be a two-day workshop for the management of traumatic patients. Emergency Medical Technicians will learn the measures and principles of Pre-hospital care in dealing with trauma patients in a combination of lecture methods and clinical simulations (real-life trauma scenarios in skill centers).
Control group: In this group, the main outcome variables will be measured without intervention.
