Determining and comparison of the effect of patient safety management training using flipped classroom method by neer peer group and common method on the durability of nursing students’ knowledge retention
Design
Semi-experimental with pre-test and post-test design with control group. Four Solomon groups are used in this study; randomized.
Settings and conduct
This study will be conducted by nursing and midwifery students of Bushehr University of Medical Sciences.
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: access to a computer or smartphone; tending to participate in research.
Exit criteria: absence in the classroom; not viewing educational content.
Intervention groups
During one session, the description of the method of work and the purpose of doing it for the students and obtaining written informed consent from them, as well as taking the pre-test from the intervention and control groups 1 in this session. First, the control group will provide the patient's safety management training in a conventional way (a workshop approach at a 6-hour session) by the relevant teacher, and then during a session, the two intervention intervention groups will be presented as flipped classroom method by neer peer group; the teacher (neer peer) to teach the reverse engineering class of the educational content of patient safety management and to download it electronically 2 weeks before the start of the class on the website to be provided to the two intervention groups. There are standard clinical concepts for concepts in the classroom. And learners in the classroom by analyzing and answering related questions Clinical scenarios become familiar with the application of theoretical knowledge in clinical settings.

Increasing the thought of learning patient safety in students; improve patient safety; helping to shorten the nursing faculty members

Sampling is complete and based on the purpose and then the random allocation, which students are randomly divided into four groups of 22 people using the blocking method (four-group Solomon plan). The researcher randomly divided the two groups into an intervention group (intervention group 1 and intervention group 2) and the other two groups as control group (control group 1 and control group 2).

In this research, four groups of Solomon are used. The researcher randomly divided the two groups into an intervention group (intervention group 1 and intervention group 2) and the other two groups as control group (control group 1 and control group 2). Only the intervention group (1) and the control group (1) are pre-test, and then from each of the four groups, the post-test is immediately and two months after the training.
